Fundraising and Grants Manager

Contract Type: Full timeย

Salary: ยฃ45,000 per annum

Location: Sky Blues in the Community Offices, CBS Arena, Coventry

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, core hours between 08:00 โ€“ 18:00
(37.5 hours per week)

Do you believe that sport has the power to change lives, and that securing the right funding is what makes that possible?

At Sky Blues in the Community, the official charity of Coventry City Football Club, we use the power of football to connect communities, tackle inequality, support wellbeing, and create opportunities across Coventry and Warwickshire. Every day our programmes make a difference to children, families, older adults, young people at risk and people facing disadvantage. Your work in this role will be what keeps those programmes going and helps them grow.

We are recruiting a Fundraising and Grants Manager to lead our income generation activity. If you are passionate about securing funding that creates real-world impact, skilled at developing compelling applications and experienced at building relationships with funders, this is a role where your expertise will be felt directly in communities across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Why this role matters

Our programmes only exist because of the funding that supports them. Premier League Kicks keeps young people safe on Friday nights. Walking Football for Parkinsonโ€™s gives people with neurological conditions a place to stay active and connected. Premier League Primary Stars and Inspires reach thousands of children in schools across our region.

Behind every one of those programmes is a funding application, a funder relationship and a compliance obligation. This role is responsible for all of it. The Fundraising and Grants Manager will shape SBitCโ€™s income strategy, lead on bids to the EFL Trust, the Premier League Charitable Fund and a wide range of trusts, foundations and statutory bodies, and ensure we meet every reporting and compliance commitment we make to our funders.

This is a senior, strategic position with a direct line to the Head of Community and a meaningful stake in the organisationโ€™s future.

What makes this opportunity unique

You will be based at the Coventry Building Society Arena, home of Coventry City Football Club, with access to one of the most compelling community stories in the EFL and Premier League. The breadth of our programmes across Sport, Health, Inclusion and Education means there is rarely a funding opportunity that does not connect to something we deliver.

You will work across all four of our strategic pillars, supporting programme managers to articulate the impact of their work and translating that impact into applications that secure the income we need. You will have the freedom to shape our fundraising strategy, build our pipeline and develop funder relationships that last.

The role includes a performance-related bonus. Once you have secured ยฃ200,000 of new income in a year, the bonus structure opens progressively, reaching up to 4% of base salary for exceptional performance. This is a genuine incentive that recognises the direct contribution this role makes to the charityโ€™s sustainability.

What you will do:

Your work will shape how SBitC sustains and grows its charitable activity. The role focuses on four main areas.

Income Generation and Strategy

Leading our fundraising strategy across all four pillars, building and managing a live pipeline of applications to EFL Trust, Premier League Charitable Fund, lottery bodies, trusts, foundations and statutory funders. You will set and own our annual income targets and keep the Head of Community fully sighted on progress, risks and opportunities.

Bid Writing and Application Development

Taking the lead on all grant applications, from identifying the opportunity to submitting a compelling, fully costed bid. You will work closely with programme managers across our teams of: Sports Facilities and Community Assets, Health and Wellbeing, Social Inclusion and Community Cohesion and Participation and Education Training and Employment; to build the evidence base, and you will ensure every application we submit reflects the quality and ambition of the work we do.

Funder Relationships and Stewardship

Acting as SBitCโ€™s primary contact for our key funders, attending meetings, representing the charity at external forums, and managing every relationship with the professionalism and consistency that builds long-term trust. You will develop a stakeholder engagement plan that ensures no funder relationship is left to chance.

Reporting, Compliance and Impact

Ensuring we meet every funder reporting obligation on time and to the required standard. You will maintain a reporting calendar, oversee financial returns to funders in partnership with our Financial Coordinator, and work with programme teams to capture the impact data that makes our next application stronger than the last.ย

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a genuine track record of securing significant income through grants and fundraising, including six-figure awards. You will have experience of leading funder relationships at a senior level and the written communication skills to produce applications that stand out.

Experience of working with football-sector funders, including EFL Trust or the Premier League Charitable Fund, is an advantage, as is a background in community sport, health or education programmes. What matters most is that you understand the funding landscape, you know how to build a pipeline and manage it, and you can work collaboratively with colleagues to turn programme delivery into compelling evidence.

A commitment to safeguarding children and adults at risk is essential, as is a genuine belief in the power of sport to change lives.

Why you will enjoy working here

This role offers the rare combination of a competitive salary for the charitable sector, a meaningful performance bonus, and work that you can see making a difference in real communities. You will be part of a small, dedicated team where your contribution is visible and valued, operating under the banner of a professional football club that gives our charity a reach and credibility that very few organisations can match.

The experience you gain here will strengthen your professional profile across the fundraising, community sport and charity sectors. You will build relationships with some of the most significant funders in football and community sport, and you will have the scope to shape how SBitC grows its income for years to come.

Project Manager โ€“ Sky Blues Talk

Contract Type: Full timeย

Salary: ยฃ30,000 per annum

Location: Sky Blues in the Community Offices, CBS Arena, Coventry

Working Hours:

This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week. Core days are Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to work on Saturdays to support matchday delivery

Do you believe that sport has the power to change lives, and that the right support at the right time is what makes that possible?

At Sky Blues in the Community, the official charity of Coventry City Football Club, we use the power of football to connect communities, tackle inequality, support wellbeing, and create opportunities across Coventry and Warwickshire. Our programmes reach children, families, older adults, young people at risk, and people facing mental health challenges every day. This role is what makes those programmes work.

We are recruiting a Project Manager to lead the delivery of our Sky Blues Talk programme. If you are passionate about mental health and wellbeing, experienced in working with people facing genuine difficulties, and skilled at bringing together teams, partners and communities to create lasting impact, this is a role where your work will be felt directly

Why this role matters

Sky Blues Talk exists to improve the mental health and wellbeing of people across Coventry and Warwickshire through sport and physical activity. The programme combines group-based delivery with one-to-one support, reaches participants in community centres, parks and schools, and works alongside NHS, primary care and voluntary sector partners to connect people with the right help.

The Project Manager leads all of it. You will plan and coordinate delivery, manage and develop a team of programme staff, hold the funder relationships and compliance obligations, and ensure every participant receives a safe, high-quality experience. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic oversight with day-to-day operational management.

What makes this opportunity unique

You will be based at the Coventry Building Society Arena, home of Coventry City Football Club, working under the banner of an organisation whose reach into communities across Coventry and Warwickshire is genuinely distinctive. The Sky Blues name opens doors. The programmes behind it make a difference.

You will work with a wide range of partners across health, education and the voluntary sector, engaging participants in shaping what the programme looks like and how it is delivered. You will have the scope to support the development of future mental health projects, including potential work in primary schools, and to build a team culture defined by high standards and continuous improvement.

What you will do:

Your work will span four main areas.

Programme leadership and delivery

Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of Sky Blues Talk, including both group-based and one-to-one interventions. You will assess and support individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, design tailored delivery plans, manage risk, and ensure the programme is delivered to the highest standard across accessible, community-based settings.

People management

Line managing programme staff, conducting regular one-to-ones and appraisals, supporting volunteers, and building a team committed to quality, safeguarding, and participant welfare.

Partnership and stakeholder management

Acting as the primary contact for Sky Blues Talk partners, local authorities, schools, community organisations, and voluntary sector groups, maintaining the relationships that sustain and grow the programme.

Monitoring, evaluation and financial management

Overseeing data collection and impact reporting using validated outcome measures, producing reports that demonstrate programme impact and support future funding, and managing project budgets across the portfolio.

Please note that this is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week. Core days are Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to work on Saturdays to support matchday delivery.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with proven experience managing projects in health, sport, or community settings, and direct experience delivering mental health programmes including one-to-one support for adults or young people. You will hold a Mental Health First Aid qualification and be up to date on safeguarding and first aid. Experience managing partnerships with NHS or primary care stakeholders, and confidence working to agreed clinical or programme outcome targets, are essential.

Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a diligent approach to record-keeping and reporting will all be important in this role. A degree in psychology, counselling, mental health or a related discipline is desirable, as is awareness of social prescribing and experience of CBT-based approaches.

A genuine commitment to safeguarding children and adults at risk, and to equality, diversity and inclusion, is essential.

Why you will enjoy working here

This role offers meaningful, visible work in a small and dedicated team, operating under the banner of a professional football club that gives our charity a reach and credibility that very few community organisations can match. You will build lasting relationships with NHS, primary care, and community partners, and have real scope to shape how Sky Blues Talk develops.

The experience you gain here will strengthen your professional profile across community health, mental health and sport for development sectors, and you will be making a direct, measurable difference to people’s lives across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Salary: ยฃ28,000 per annum

Location: Across Coventry and Warwickshire

Working Hours: Full time, with flexibility required including some evenings, weekends and public holidays

Do you want to use sport and physical activity to make a genuine difference to people’s health?

At Sky Blues in the Community, the official charity of Coventry City Football Club, we work across Coventry and Warwickshire to improve lives through sport, health, inclusion and education. Our Health and Wellbeing team delivers programmes that connect people to physical activity, support behaviour change, and reduce health inequalities in communities that need it most. This role sits at the heart of that work.

We are recruiting a Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to lead on the delivery and coordination of our health programmes across Coventry and Warwickshire. If you are an experienced health and wellbeing professional who understands exercise referral, behaviour change and community health delivery, and who wants a role with real variety and real impact, we would like to hear from you.

Health inequalities across Coventry and Warwickshire are real and persistent. Our programmes exist to address them, using the reach and credibility of Coventry City FC to engage people who might not otherwise access support. This role is responsible for making those programmes work in practice, from coordinating delivery to managing the partnerships that sustain them, and capturing the evidence that keeps them funded.

What you will do:

You will plan and deliver health and wellbeing sessions and physical activity interventions across a range of community settings, from leisure centres and GP surgeries to parks, community centres and schools. You will pre-screen and assess participants, prescribe appropriate activity, and support individuals across sustained programmes to set goals and make meaningful progress towards their health and care plan objectives.

Alongside direct delivery, you will coordinate programmes across the health and wellbeing portfolio, working with primary care networks, social prescribers, GPs, community connectors and voluntary sector partners to ensure our provision is joined up and effective. You will maintain accurate records, contribute to monitoring and evaluation, and help build the evidence base that supports future funding.

You will also play an active role in the team, mentoring coaches and volunteers, contributing to programme development, and identifying new opportunities to grow our health and wellbeing offer across the region.

What we are looking for

You will hold a Level 2 or above health and fitness qualification and have direct experience of delivering health and wellbeing or physical activity interventions, including working with referred or clinically complex participants. Experience of coordinating programmes and managing relationships with primary care or community health partners is essential, as is a confident, person-centred approach to supporting behaviour change.

A full clean UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are required. The role involves regular travel across Coventry and Warwickshire. A commitment to safeguarding children and adults at risk, and to equality, diversity and inclusion, is essential.

Why you will enjoy working here

You will be working under the banner of a professional football club that opens doors in communities where other organisations struggle to gain traction. The work is varied, the partnerships are meaningful, and the impact of what you do is visible in the communities you serve. If you want a health and wellbeing role with genuine purpose behind it, this is it.
