Advanced Development Centre and Emerging Talent Centre

If you can see it, she can be it!

What is it?
The Advanced Development Centre (ADC) is an advanced training environment that stretch and challenges players’ development to maximise their potential and progression of their football journey.
The sessions are focused on the technical and tactical aspects of the game and follow a curriculum delivered by UEFA C and B qualified coaches.
Talent Pathway
The progression after U11 at the ADC is to the U12 Girls Emerging Talent Centre where players train in a high performance environment and have the chance to attend Talent ID events where Professional Game Academy and England Women’s National Talent scouts attend.
Across the past 3 years we have progressed 6 players to Professional Games Academies and 20+ to professional club funded academies.
Aims:
  • Make a Difference within the local grassroots leagues
  • Identify, develop and progress talented players

The Girls Emerging Talent Centre is part of England Women’s Talent ID pathway

What is it?

The Girls Player Development Centre provides an additional training opportunity for players that want to improve their game.

Our UEFA C and B licensed coaches utilise a technical curriculum planned keeping in mind the Long Term Player Development approach, and bespoke to the ability of the players attending.

The coaches support players with their strengths, while focusing on improving their weaknesses so players can become the best version of themselves on and off the pitch. Training at the Girls Player Development Centre does not interfere with players’ grassroots clubs’ schedule. Further, it provides a pathway into our Girls Emerging Talent Centre.

When and where is it? What are the Costs?

The Emerging Talent Centre is free and operates at the state-of-the-art 4G venue at President Kennedy school, CV6 4GL on Friday evenings 6pm to 9pm with the following schedule:

7:00pm – 9pm – U12, U13, U14, U16

What do we aim to achieve at the Girls Player Development Centre?

  •  Improve the standard of players across the local grassroots leagues by providing an extra advanced training opportunity
  • Provide coach mentoring to young athletes so to support their career
  • Identify and confirm talent that could progress onto England Women’s pathway

What does the pathway look like?

Within Sky Blues in the Community, we have set up a pathway from the Girls Player Development Centre where players are supported with their strengths, and improve on their weaknesses so to improve their game or have an opportunity to enter the Girls Emerging Talent Centre.

Progressions from the Girls Emerging Talent Centre include referrals to Discover My Talent events where players are scouted by the England Women’s scouts so to be identified for the England Women’s Regional Top Talent Groups U13 – U16.
