Dementia Active

We currently run Dementia Active sessions in three locations for 2 hours a week at each site.

What the programme aims are:

Funded by the National Lottery and Jimmy Hill Legacy fund, working in collaboration with CWPT, Dementia Active is a free, weekly session for people living with dementia or memory loss concerns and their carers. Participants can play sports, take part in physical activities, play games and chat in a fun and comfortable environment. 

Things we offer on our Dementia Active sessions:

  • Tea and Coffee

  • Range of cakes and biscuits

  • Fun and friendly environment

  • A warm and welcoming atmosphere

  • Badminton

  • Football

  • Basketball

  • Bowls/Skittles

  • Putting Green

  • Soft Archery

  • Magnetic Darts

  • Soft Tennis

  • Table Tennis

  • Chess

  • Card Games

By successfully achieving the above we aim to reduce/increase the following:

  • Improve participation in physical activity
  • Improve participants social networks
  • Improve participants physical and mental health
  • Reduce social inhibitions
  • Reduce loneliness

Where: AT7 Centre, Coventry, CV6 7GP.

DAY: Monday

Time: 2:00pm- 4.00pm

Where: Jubilee Sports Centre, Nuneaton, CV10 7EZ

DAY: Friday

Time: 10:00-11:30am

Where: St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre, Warwick, CV34 4QY.
