Making A Difference

Making A Difference.

Food Bank Support

Sky Blues in the Community partners with local food banks to help tackle food insecurity across the region. Through matchday donation drives, community outreach events, and ongoing collaborations with local charities, the team encourages fans and residents to contribute non-perishable food items. These efforts not only help stock the shelves of local food banks but also raise awareness about the growing need for support among vulnerable families.

In addition to donations, staff and volunteers from Sky Blues often take part in sorting, packing, and distributing food parcels, showing a hands-on commitment to addressing hunger within the community.

Clothing Collections

Recognising the importance of dignity and warmth, especially during colder months, Sky Blues in the Community also coordinates clothing collection campaigns. These initiatives encourage supporters to donate gently used coats, shoes, school uniforms, and winter gear. The items collected are distributed through local shelters, schools, and community centers to those most in need.

These campaigns help ensure that individuals and families experiencing hardship have access to essential clothing, particularly during times of economic pressure.

Kit Donations

Pupils from Chakopo Primary School, in the district of Manza in Zambia, Africa, had an early Christmas present in 2024, as they were surprised with a generous donation of Coventry City kits.

Coventry City and the team at the Club’s Academy kindly donated their teams’ kits from last season to Sky Blues in the Community, in the hope that we would find them a deserving home.

Sky Blues in the Community found this with Fred Kambole, who the Club’s community arm have been aware of previously and the work that he has done in Zambia.
