Sky Blues in the Community have a variety of football programmes which provide opportunities for girls to develop their football ability holistically, expand their love for football and make new friends.<\/p>\n

Sky Blues in the Community Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n Our female youth teams train weekly and compete in league fixtures every Saturday morning. All teams are coached by FA and UEFA-qualified coaches who deliver a curriculum designed by Coventry City Academy coaches to support each player’s technical, tactical, physical and personal development.<\/p>\n In addition to league competition, players participate in showcase fixtures each half-term against a variety of football clubs and Emerging Talent Centres. Every player also receives two individual performance reviews per season, enabling coaches to identify strengths and tailor development plans to maximise their potential.<\/p>\n For the 2026\/27 season, we will field teams from Under-9s through to Under-18s. They also experience a variety of playing formats, including age-specific matches, 6v6, 3v3 and futsal.<\/p>\n At Sky Blues in the Community, players are coached by UEFA B and UEFA A licensed coaches with extensive experience in player development. They also benefit from access to physiotherapy support during training and pitch-based strength and conditioning sessions delivered by a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach.<\/p>\n Our GETC provides a positive, challenging environment in which young female players can thrive while maintaining their enjoyment of the game. Weekly training sessions and varied match formats have contributed to outstanding individual progression. During the 2025\/26 season, 25% of our players either attended academy trials or secured places within female academy programmes. Weekly 90-minute sessions are delivered by our UEFA-qualified coaches in an engaging and supportive environment.<\/p>\n Skills School also serves as a key progression route into our Girls Emerging Talent Centre. During the 2025\/26 season, almost 35% of players within our GETC progressed from the Skills School programme.
