To lend parents a helping hand,\u00a0<b>Kellogg\u2019s Football Camps,\u00a0<\/b>in partnership with the\u00a0<b>English Football League (EFL)<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Manchester City<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Celtic FC<\/b>\u00a0<b>and Rangers FC<\/b>, are back for 2025, offering kids a fun way to stay active and train like their sporting heroes this summer.\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>What\u2019s more, there are\u00a0<\/span><span>more than<\/span><span>\u00a0<b>30,000 FREE places\u00a0<\/b>available<b>\u00a0<\/b>to young footy fans across the UK. Everyone who signs up and claims one of the 30,000<\/span><span>+<\/span><span>\u00a0camp places on offer will be in with the chance to win a<b>\u00a0FREE football shirt\u00a0<\/b>to wear with pride*.\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The return of the popular camps comes as research** from the cereal giant reveals that almost\u00a0<b>two thirds (61%)\u00a0<\/b>of parents admit they struggle to keep kids active during school holidays. In fact,\u00a0<b>over three quarters (78%)<\/b>\u00a0say they worry about keeping their child entertained throughout the summer break due to children\u2019s use of\u00a0<b>gadgets and tablets (27%)\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0<b>lack of time (21%).\u00a0<\/b>Meanwhile,<b>\u00a042%<\/b>\u00a0are concerned about the rising cost of activities. In fact, data reveals parents spend an average of\u00a0<b>\u00a390 per week<\/b>\u00a0to keep their child entertained, totalling\u00a0<b>\u00a3540<\/b>\u00a0over the summer holidays.<br \/>\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Kellogg\u2019s Football Camps offer an accessible and fun way to keep young children moving throughout the summer holidays\u00a0<i>without\u00a0<\/i>breaking the bank. The Camps will kick off from 26th June for girls and boys aged 5-15. This year, they will be hosted at more than 150 locations across the UK \u2013 from Bristol to Blackpool, London to Luton and Glasgow to Grimsby \u2013 giving kids the chance to lace up their boots where their football idols play.\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In its first year, Kellogg\u2019s Football Camps\u00a0<i>scored<\/i>\u00a0big with local communities up and down the country. Over\u00a0<b>58,000 attendees<\/b>\u00a0took part at a local club (enough places to fill the Etihad Stadium &#8211; and then some! ) and over\u00a0<b>10,069 hours<\/b>\u00a0of coaching were delivered throughout the summer.\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Young footy fans were provided with a safe and fun environment to develop essential life skills, both on and off the pitch. In fact, nearly<b>\u00a0nine in ten (88%)\u00a0<\/b>parents believe that playing football plays a key role in their child\u2019s emotional and physical development, and a staggering\u00a0<b>91%\u00a0<\/b>believe it\u2019s important for kids to play sports as part of their weekly routine.\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The research went on to reveal that:<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u25cf<\/span><span>\u00a0 \u00a0 According to parents,\u00a0<b>helping kids stay active (71%)<\/b>,<b>\u00a0teaching teamwork and social skills (67%)<\/b>,<b>\u00a0building confidence (66%)<\/b>\u00a0and keeping them\u00a0<b>mentally healthy (52%)<\/b>\u00a0are the biggest benefits of sports for children\u2019s development.\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u25cf<\/span><span>\u00a0 \u00a0 For many adults, football holds nostalgic value too, as<b>\u00a0over a third (36%)\u00a0<\/b>say playing football with friends was their own fondest memory from their own childhood.<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u25cf<\/span><span>\u00a0 \u00a0 But parental pressure is at an all-time high \u2013<b>\u00a0a third (32%) are stressed about balancing work and childcare,<\/b>\u00a0whilst\u00a0<b>30% say they feel under constant pressure<\/b>\u00a0to keep their children entertained.<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i><span>Helen Potter, Cereal Lead, Kellogg\u2019s UKI said:<\/span><\/i><\/b><span>\u00a0<i>\u201c<\/i><\/span><i><span>Our camps can help to ease the pressure of keeping kids entertained and active this summer, all without breaking the bank.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><i><span>So, to celebrate their return for a second year, we\u2019re excited to be offering over 30,000 free places at camps up and down the UK.
