Sky Blues in the Community – Premier League Kicks: Empowering Youth Through Football

Sky Blues in the Community is proud to present its Premier League Kicks programme, an initiative aimed at engaging and empowering young people aged 8-18 through the beautiful game of football. With a commitment to fostering community development and providing opportunities for personal growth, Sky Blues Premier League Kicks is making a positive impact on the lives of over 1000 young individuals every week.

At the heart of the programme lies a dedication to inclusivity and accessibility. Regardless of background or ability, young people are welcomed to participate in football sessions conducted by qualified coaches. These sessions not only provide a platform for honing football skills but also encourage teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

Sky Blues Deliver at over 14 venues across the City a week working in Partnership with Moathouse Community Trust.

Beyond the field, Sky Blues Premier League Kicks offers volunteering opportunities for participants to give back to their communities. Through initiatives such as coaching younger players, organizing events, and assisting in administrative tasks, young people learn the value of service and civic engagement. By actively contributing to the programme, they develop a sense of ownership and responsibility, fostering a culture of empowerment and collaboration.

Recognising the importance of holistic development, Sky Blues in the Community provides avenues for young people to gain valuable qualifications. Whether it’s obtaining coaching badges, first aid certifications, or leadership training, participants are equipped with the tools necessary to succeed both on and off the pitch. These qualifications not only enhance their employability but also instil confidence and self-belief, empowering them to pursue their aspirations with determination and resilience.

Sky Blues Premier League Kicks exemplifies the transformative potential of sport in empowering young people and building stronger communities. Through engagement, volunteering, and skill development, the programme equips participants with the tools and opportunities necessary to succeed in all aspects of life. As we celebrate the achievements and impact of Sky Blues in the Community, we look forward to continuing our journey of making a difference, one kick at a time.
